Why sign up?
The Mystery Theatre Train offers a fun and educational day out; an enriching cultural experience laced with an intriguing sense of mystery!

Where do the trains go?
The trains will visit neighbouring counties in time for an afternoon matinee performance. We do not go to London.

How can I know where you are?
Parents can opt in to receive text messages on departure with updates on current location, the show and timings.

Can I get in contact on the day?
Yes. You will be provided with a number for a Trip Phone that will be carried at all times.

Does my child need a phone?
Your child is welcome to bring a phone and exchange numbers with the Trip Phone. It is not compulsory and, in the extremely unlikely event of becoming separated, pupils will have received a thorough safety briefing on where to report at every stage of the day with clear and precise instructions on next steps to take.  They will also receive the Trip Phone Number on a card to present to a suitable person as described on the card.

Has the trip been risk assessed?
Every phase of each trip has been thoroughly risk assessed and written up to reduce the risk of any incidents. The pupils will receive multiple safety briefings during the day at every phase of the trip and there will be an appropriate adult-pupil ratio to allow for comprehensive supervision.

Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes. MysteryTrain has this in place for all trips.

Who will be leading the trip?
Ed Cousens (Head of Drama of Westbourne House School) will be delivering the workshop and leading all aspects of the day.

Why are you called The Mystery Theatre Train?
The term 'train' has a double meaning;  being trained within the mystery theatre workshop, but also boarding a surprise railway train.

Can you cater for dietary requirements at dinner?
Absolutely. You will be invited to specify any requirements on booking.
